We have some progress! Wooo stuff actually happened this week to move the plot along. Read this week's episode highlights after the jump.
- Last week, Marshall told Robin that she needed to move out and let Ted move on. She agreed, so out she goes. She goes to stay with Lil' Shall on Long Island.
- Barney is still hung up on Quinn and can't seem to move on from her. Ted tells him duhhh it's because she's special and you have real feelings for her. While having this convo at the strip club (natch) they both realize that Quinn is one of the dancers. It's destiny!
- Back on Long Island, Robin is coming to see it as the true hell that it is. She's living in a world of snuggies and 8:30 bedtimes. She hates it so much she's willing to move in with her annoying coworker. Althoughhhh the snuggies aren't too terrible.
- Lil 'Shall aren't anxious to let Robin leave. They lock her in her room and steal her clothes to keep her for as long as they can. Apparently life on Long Island isn't the homey bliss they had hoped for.
- Ted can't deal with the emptiness of Robin's old room, so he tries to find hobbies to occupy the space. In true "awww shucks, Ted" fashion, he flops at all of them. Every table he makes in his wood shop breaks. Every piece of pottery leaks. Poor Ted's life is a mess. He's even halucinating convos with Robin.
- Robin begs Lil' Shall to let her go home and they suggest perhapppppssss she would just rather live in East Meadow forever. She would rather set herself on fire. They admit that they're less than happy and would really rather move back to the city. Robin says awww you'll work it out and leaves.
- Barney gets taken for granted by the love of his life stripper. She makes him pay dem dollas to get a chance to talk to her. When he finally realizes she playing him he gets pissed and walks away. When the bump into each other later she's all "uhhh I've danced there for a year and you didn't even recognize me." They admit they're both low lifes and decide to try to make it work.
- Ted texts Lil' Shall to come hang out in the city. They rush to make the next train and come to an empty apartment. A VERY empty apartment. As in Ted moved out.
- Ted leaves them a note that seems like its a few lines but the voice over has Ted rambling on for hours about how he's the ghost who's been haunting the apartment and blah blah blah. Bottom line is Lil' Shall never took their names off the lease. Ted converted Robin's room into a nursery and took his name off the lease.
- So now we have two homeless people and two people with two homes. Sure.
Side Notes:
- I really love Barney when he's sincere. I think they need to just let him evolve and be a real person. Or had a sex addict intervention.
- I'm really over Awwwww Shucks Ted.
- Now that Lil' Shall is back in the city, can they please be funny again?
