The greatest episode? Eh not really. But who cares, ratings were up. Plus, we got a solution to that little Grayson-wants-a-baby-but-Jules-doesn't problem. Ahhh plot developments. Read the episode highlights after the jump.
- Jules, Grayson, and Ellie are having their morning coffee when Jules raises a question to ponder: you know what really sucks about being engaged to Grayson? The fact that he used to be such a hoebag before they dated that she always within 50 feet of one of his skanks. Grayson denies it, but Jules tests out her theory and sure enough so hoebag answers. She has a few things they should prob catch up on.
- Ellie has taken up surfing because she needs a little alone time from The Crew. Jules helps her put her on her swimsuit, even though she hates the alone time she's getting because of it (guys, she is making progress, she took a shower without Ellie on the phone).
- Jules signed her and Grayson up for marriage counseling because she wants to make sure they start their marriage off baggage free. Seems like a simple enough request.
- Laurie goes over to visit Travis and asks him to go out with her for Louie (lunch, natch) but he says no because he's reading. Humphh.
- Ellie goes out for her Alone Time Surfing and bumps into Bobby. He too enjoys the surfing. He wants to ride a wave together, but Ellie doesn't actually surf. She just likes to sit there. Which is exactly what I would call surfing. Bobby offers to teach her and she's all for it.
- They totally rock their therapy sesh (with a Srubs-esque cameo) but Jules still wishes she knew what the therapist thought of them. IF ONLY they could read her notebook. OH WAIT THEY CAN. Because Grayson stole it. Jules has never been more attracted to him than this very moment. They read that one of them is a little narcissistic, but all and all they have a great future in front of them. Woo!
- SCREEEEEECHHHH is what the sound would be if their relationship was a car ride (work with me, people). Hoebag shows up to the bar with a lil' surprise.
- Laurie comes in and is BFFs with the hoebag, the baby is her goddaughter, Tampa. Jules goes out on a limb and ASSUMES that the hoebag slept with a lot of other dudes when she slept with Grayson, soo she's gonna need her to get a paternity test.
- They take the test and then prep their super cool Maury-like dance moves to do for when they get the results back. Tom and his excellent hospital connections get the results back EXTREMELY fast. Grayson: you ARE the father!!!!!!
- Bobby starts to teach Ellie how to surf and Andy warns him that she's unteachable. One time he tried to show her how to take a picture with her phone and she threw it at him. But Bobby likes himself a challenge.
- Grayson checks in with Jules to see how she's handling the whole we have a baby now thing. He offers up Big Carl, but even he can fix this problem (uhh it doesn't mean that he can't try though).
- Jules doesn't know if whether or not this is a deal breaker. Time to invade Ellie's private time. Ellie, though annoyed, points out that not liking that Grayson has a kid with someone else is a lame excuse. Jules has a kid with someone else.
- Speaking of, Laurie goes back to see if NOW he wants to go to Louie (still no). Eh fine. Trav's roommate is trying to learn how to step so Laurie steps in (ha) because she's watched Stomp the Yard a thousand times and totes knows what to do. She convinces Travis to help out with the rehearsing, but when it comes down to the performance he's all HELLZ NO about it.
- Laurie's not to pleased about it. She knows something's up but doesn't know what. What happened to that guy who'd do anything to make her smile? And here's where it gets uncomfortable. Trav says that everything got too flirty for him and it blew having someone always on your mind who you can't do anything about (is this code for he secretly loves her but can't on it? I BOTH DO AND DON'T HOPE THIS IS TRUE AT THE SAME TIME). Laurie's all ooohhh ok I'll leave then. PLEASE. DO. NOT. LET. THEM. GET. TOGETHER.
- Jules realizes that with this hoebag kid, she's kind if getting the best of both worlds. Grayson gets his kids and her forty-year old lady parts don't have to do any work. WINNING!
- She tells Grayson that she's cool with it & then SHE introduces the baby to the group. I love how narcissistic she is.
- Travis stages something that he performs the stepping routine in front of Laurie and makes her smile. But really though. A relationship between the two of them would be terrible and weird. She is his MOM'S best friend.
- Bobby has come to see that Ellie can't be taught anything but decides he's not giving up. Then we get some kind of uplifting montage as Ellie sort of surfs. I couldn't tell if it was sarcastic or if it was an uncharacteristically sweet wrap up teaching us to support our loved ones. Still confused on that one.
Side Notes:
- The baby is adorns. And had tiny eyes just like Grayson. And has a love of glitter blush.
- In case I did not make this clear I am ver against Lauris (Laurie + Travis). If there's a Team Lauris movement, please direct me to their opposition.
